Qmarine is a boat yard in the Maldives, specializing in the design, construction, and maintenance of marine vessels. We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Draftsman to join our team.
Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate and detailed technical drawings, blueprints, and plans for boat construction and repair projects using CAD software.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, and project managers to understand project requirements and specifications.
Ensure all drawings comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and client requirements.
Revise and update drawings based on feedback and changes in project scope.
Maintain organized records of all drawings and documentation.
Assist in the preparation of material lists and cost estimates.
Support the production team by providing clarification and guidance on technical drawings.
Qualifications:
Education: Degree in Drafting, or a related field.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience as a Draftsman, preferably in the marine or boat-building industry.
Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
Strong understanding of marine engineering principles and boat construction techniques.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting.
Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and engineering designs.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
