Operations Manager, Batching Plant & Concrete

We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager, Batching Plant & Concrete to oversee the production and delivery of concrete. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth operations, maintain quality standards, and optimize efficiency in batching and logistics.

Responsibilities:

Production & Dispatch Planning

  • Daily planning and execution of batching and delivery schedules

  • Priorities urgent client and site orders whole optimizing batching cycles.

  • Real-time coordination with truck drivers, pump operators, and batching techniques.

People & Resource Management

  • Lead a team of plant workers, mixer truck drivers, pump operators, mechanics, and yard staff.

  • Plan and assign shifts, monitor labour output and manage overtime fairly.

  • Enforce site discipline, HSE protocols and timely attendance.

Technical Oversight

  • Manage batching plant operations(120cbm/hour capacity), silos, conveyors, and control systems.

  • ensure all mix designs are followed precisely; perform random spot checks.

  • Lead maintenance scheduling for plant and mobile assets (mixer trucks, pumps)

  • Maintain calibration records of batching equipment

Inventory & Cost Management

  • Monitor raw material consumption (cement, aggregate, M-sand, admixtures, water)

  • Reduce wastage through precision batching and real- time material reconciliation

  • Ensure fuel and spare parts usage are within controlled norms.

Client Communication & Service Quality

  • Interface with project managers, site engineers, and external clients for delivery coordination
  • Handle customer complaints or load rejections with root cause resolution
  • Proactively build rapport with stakeholders to ensure repeat business.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 7-10 years of experience in batching plant or ready mix concrete operations, with at least 3 years in supervisory or leadership role
  • Engineering Degree (Civil or Mechanical preferred) or equivalent diploma with strong technical experience.
  • Hands- on experience with batching plant automation systems
  • Familiar with prevention maintenance strategies for plant and mobile equipment
  • Disciplined, organized, process- driven leader with a proactive mindset.
