We are seeking a skilled and reliable Marine Petrol Mechanic to join our team. Mechanics will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining marine petrol engines and related systems, ensuring high-quality service and safety standards.
Position responsibilities:
Inspect, diagnose, and troubleshoot issues with marine petrol engines and associated systems.
Perform repairs and replacements on engines, fuel systems, electrical systems, and other mechanical components.
Conduct routine maintenance services, including oil changes, filter replacements, and system checks.
Perform preventative maintenance to enhance engine performance and longevity.
Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems accurately and efficiently.
Stay updated on the latest marine technology and repair techniques.
Maintain accurate records of all work performed, including repairs, parts used, and time spent on tasks.
Assist in preparing service reports for management and customers.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your colleagues.
Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
Work closely with the Chief Mechanic and Assistant Mechanics to complete projects efficiently.
Communicate effectively with team members and assist in training junior staff as needed.
Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures to clients.
Address customer inquiries and concerns professionally and promptly.
Assist in managing inventory levels of tools and parts, notifying management of the shortages or needed replacements.
Ensure that tools and equipment are maintained and stored properly.
Qualifications:
Minimum - Ordinary Level.
Minimum – 2-year experience in a related field.
Communication Skills.
Know-how of industrial work.
Working under stressful situations.
Able to work long hours and a team player.
