The Head of Marine Engine Business is responsible for leading, managing, and growing the company’s marine engine sales, service, and operations. This role oversees strategic planning, business development, customer relationships, technical operations, and team performance to ensure profitability, efficiency, and market leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Business Management & Strategy

  • Develop and implement business strategies to achieve sales, service, and revenue targets for marine engines.
  • Identify market opportunities, new product lines, and potential partnerships.
  • Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and business plans.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and market demand.

2. Sales & Marketing Oversight

  • Lead the sales team to achieve monthly and annual sales goals.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, dealers, and suppliers.
  • Oversee marketing campaigns, promotions, and brand visibility initiatives.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and service agreements.

3. Technical & Service Operations

  • Oversee after-sales service operations, maintenance activities, and technical support.
  • Ensure availability of spare parts and smooth supply chain management.
  • Establish and maintain quality assurance standards for repairs and installations.
  • Provide technical guidance for complex projects and engine-related issues.

4. Leadership & Team Development

  • Manage and guide sales, service, and technical teams to ensure high performance.
  • Conduct training programs for staff on products, service standards, and safety.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, safety regulations, and operational procedures.

5. Financial & Reporting

  • Monitor financial performance, cost control, and profitability of the marine engine business.
  • Prepare management reports on sales, service, projects, and operational performance.
  • Manage vendor payments, warranty claims, and customer billing processes.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Marine Engineering, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 7+ years of experience in marine engine sales and aftersales services.
  • Strong technical knowledge of marine engines, outboard/inboard systems, and maintenance operations.
  • Proven leadership experience with ability to manage multidisciplinary teams.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and client-management skills.
  • Strong analytical and strategic planning abilities.
