Electrical & Control Systems Engineer

We are seeking a skilled and hands-on Electrical & Control Systems Engineer to manage, troubleshoot, and optimize electrical systems across our marine fleet. The role involves ensuring system reliability, establishing electrical standards, and providing fast, accurate diagnostics in challenging tropical marine environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot electrical and control systems on marine vessels, ensuring fast and accurate resolution of failures.
  • Handle generators, switchboards, relays, sensors, alarms, VFDs, and emergency/bilge circuits.
  • Conduct inspections, maintenance, and testing of electrical systems to ensure functionality and compliance.
  • Standardize wiring practices and implement electrical QA/QC procedures across the fleet.
  • Review and interpret electrical diagrams, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Support installation, upgrades, and repairs of electrical and control systems.
  • Work closely with engineering teams to improve overall electrical reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Prepare reports on system performance, troubleshooting findings, and recommended improvements.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
  • 7–10 years of experience in electrical and control systems, preferably in marine operations.
  • Strong hands-on troubleshooting skills in tropical marine conditions.
  • Experience with generators, switchboards, relays, sensors, alarms, VFDs, bilge systems, and emergency circuits.
  • Ability to standardize wiring methods and ensure electrical quality control.
  • Excellent problem-solving, diagnostic, and communication skills.

Salary:

  • USD 1,800 – 2,500 per month.
