Mechanical & Structural Engineer

We are seeking a knowledgeable and dependable Mechanical & Structural Engineer to manage diagnostics, repairs, and structural assessments across our marine fleet. The role involves ensuring mechanical reliability, evaluating hull integrity, and preventing recurring failures through strong technical analysis and maintenance standards.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and troubleshoot engine and propulsion system issues, ensuring timely and accurate resolutions.
• Manage repairs and maintenance of gearboxes, pumps, shafts, bearings, cooling systems, and related mechanical components.
• Conduct structural evaluations including hull integrity assessments, plate thickness measurements, and corrosion protection planning.
• Perform root-cause and failure analysis to prevent repetitive mechanical faults and enhance system reliability.
• Oversee alignment, installation, and adjustment of propulsion and mechanical systems.
• Review technical drawings, repair procedures, and specifications to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate with shipyards, workshops, and engineering teams for mechanical and structural works.
• Prepare reports on structural assessments, mechanical diagnostics, and recommended corrective actions.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or a related field.
• 7–10 years of experience in mechanical and structural engineering, preferably in marine environments.
• Strong technical expertise in engines, propulsion systems, gearboxes, pumps, shafts, bearings, and cooling systems.
• Knowledge of hull integrity evaluation, corrosion protection, and structural inspection methods.
• Proven ability in failure analysis and preventing repetitive mechanical issues.
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and coordination skills.

Salary:

• USD 1,800 – 2,400 per month.
