Lathe Machine Operator

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lathe Machine Operator to operate conventional lathe machines for machining, repairing, and manufacturing precision metal components. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of machining operations, measurements, and technical drawings.

Responsibilities:

• Operate conventional lathe machines safely and efficiently
• Perform turning, facing, drilling, boring, threading, and knurling operations
• Set up workpieces, cutting tools, and machine parameters according to job requirements
• Machine metal components as per technical drawings and specifications
• Manufacture and repair shafts, bushings, sleeves, rollers, flanges, and threaded parts
• Ensure proper measurements, alignment, and machining tolerances
• Use measuring instruments such as vernier calipers, micrometers, and dial gauges
• Inspect finished components to ensure accuracy and quality standards
• Carry out routine cleaning and basic maintenance of the lathe machine

Qualifications:

• 3–5 years of experience operating conventional lathe machines
• Strong knowledge of machining processes, cutting tools, and metalworking techniques
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
• Good understanding of measurements, tolerances, and precision machining
• Physically fit and capable of working in industrial workshop conditions
